At this page you will find interesting information
about the fascinating world of hair. The information
I would like to share with you is mainly about the loss
of hair, that is, what is known as common alopecia,
which could be defined as the loss of hair without any
apparent reason that affects a big number of men and
women.
| Is there
a solution for common baldness? |
People have been trying to find the solution to common
baldness since millenniums ago, and despite the scientific
advances the number of affected people is increasing
day by day in our society. Many people think that finding
the elixir would be the way to turn its discoverer into
a multi millionaire, but other think that an effective
solution will not be found, since this would be killing
the goose that lays the golden eggs. The search for
a real solution to common baldness is at least debatable,
since even though every day it is more common to suffer
from it, it is not a common illness, as nobody dies
directly due to this cause.
I think that an effective solution has not been found
because the real initial reason that triggers the process
has not been found exactly, it seems that more efforts
have been made in trying to find a hairgrowing lotion
than in finding out the real reason why hair is lost.
The etiology of common baldness is unknown in medicine
texts, then, how can we think that the panacea that
makes us recover the lost hair can be found? In my opinion,
which many share, prevention is much better than cure,
therefore we must focus our efforts in trying to find
the initial and triggering cause of alopecia, to be
able to beat baldness, from the point of view of prevention.
The biology of hair is extremely complex. All the known
systems are implied in our hair, i.e., the circulatory
system, the immune system, the lymphatic system, the
nervous system, the system of cellular renovation by
stem cells, etc. The hair exhibits a hair cycle, since
it is born, grows, and it is lost, starting then a new
cycle. The problem of common alopecia is that the hair
is not renewed.
At this page I will expose to you my point of view
after a careful study of over seven years. I have found
a simple, clear and really new theory through which
most cases of alopecia can be treated, in men as well
as in women. There is a very effective method, completely
free to beat baldness. It is a preventive remedy which
avoids the loss of hair, but it acts only partially
to be able to recover the hair which has been recently
lost. In my honest opinion, there is a big paradox,
since it can be avoided to be bald practically without
any cost, but not even with all the money in the world
one could stop being bald in a natural way (except for
certain hair graft or trasplant techniques, with partial
results).
One of the clues to get to the bottom of baldness is
the reason why only certain hairs are affected while
others are not. Some experts claim that there are differences
in the blood flow in the different areas of the head
where hair can be lost, others say that there is a different
ability to take "nutrients". But it seems
that no important difference can be found among the
areas where falling occurs and the areas where it does
not. The only exception is that the area where baldness
does not occur, is exactly the same area that rests
on the pillow while we sleep. This is an essential difference
in the case we are treating. It could be thought that
when we rest this area there is a certain process that
avoids baldness, for example that it eliminates a poison
from the environment. We only have to give a name to
such poison, which in this case is the sebum. What a
lot of cases of people who suffer from baldness at a
certain time, in which there is a problem of fat, most
of the cases due to an excess! What the pillow makes
is to eliminate the fat that arrives to it through the
contact with the hair. This is the reason why women
and different ethnic groups such as rastafaris, American
Indians, gypsies, etc. suffer less cases of common alopecia,
since their hair is long enough to be physically in
touch with the pillow, as the hair at the top of the
head has also a drainage through the hair. Therefore
if the patterns of the different length of hair, were
inverted, i.e. if the woman wore a shorter hair, then
it would be the woman and not the man, the one who would
mainly suffer from common baldness.
The biological basis of this matter is easy to understand,
the sebaceous gland that is next to the hair provides
the essential and healthy sebum or fat so that the hair
can live, but as we all know any fat is easily oxidized
and is turned into a poison, therefore if it is not
eliminated, problems will inevitably arise. If one wishes
to go deeper in this sense, then it is necessary to
know the process in more detail.
Before starting, we must know that sebum has two directions
in the hair, one of translation through the hair shaft,
i.e. from where it comes out to the surface till the
end of the hair, and another sense towards the sides,
i.e. transversal, from one hair to the next one. For
this reason there are certain people who wear short
hair but do not suffer from baldness, because although
the hair at the top cannot eliminate the sebum in a
longitudinal way, it does it in a transversal way, as
they are people with a high hair density, with many
hairs by a square centimetre.
Physically the hair is the one in charge of taking
the sebum towards the outside, we must just know that
it is able to adsorb its weight of sebum up to five
times, therefore the physical features of hair can influence
in a crucial way in the process of elimination of sebum.
It could be said that negative factors for hair would
be a short, thin, not dense enough and straight hair,
and more resistant hairs would be the ones which are
long, thick, dense and curly, since these last conditions
allow the sebum flow to be regular and avoid stops in
the flow.
